PS&P undertakes extensive Empty Property Inspection projects on behalf of Local Authorities to ensure that where possible, the collection of Local Government revenue is maximised.
In view of the recent economic downturn and with budgets and priorities regularly changing, it is evident that a number of Local Authorities may experience difficulties in maintaining a constant ‘current status’ record of empty properties due to the restraints of maintaining a permanent ‘in house’ inspection service.
PS&P has designed a range of inspection services to assist Local Authorities and they include:
- Inspection visits to properties to establish their status and verify whether they are empty or occupied. Details of the Managing Agents of the property can also be obtained, should this be a requirement of the service.
- Inspection visits to obtain information and where possible the completion of an occupancy verification form.
- Inspection visits to obtain information and the completion of a visit report form for those cases
where the property may be required to be re-valued by the Valuation Office Agency.
- Inspection visits to establish occupier details
for those properties that are found to be occupied, but no further
information is known or available
- Bespoke inspection visits designed in
conjunction with our clients to either cater for changing or
evolving requirements.
